True story from my "Rescue the Stories Book Three"

"Robbers Break Through and Steal"

The year was 1985 and we had just moved to our new mansion on the hill overlooking the Pleasanton valley.  A gate at the entrance of the long steep winding road, opened with a special security lock.

Residents with the combination to the gate were free to enter, and of course visitors, service workers, utility employees and the police.

Because of the steep road, not many people were given permits to build on this lush mountain top.  It took a special meeting with the city council and a convincing speech by Robert to secure our permit.

Our Realtor friend, said, “My son and his friend will do some landscaping for you at a reasonable price.” The two young teen age boys worked hard and soon our front yard became a charming show place.

A few weeks later, on a Sunday morning, while we were away at church; we had a surprise break in.

Our bedroom window had been pried open, and many small items such as jewelry, watches, a coin collection, guns, cameras, binoculars, radios, and other items were taken.

It did not take long to itemize several thousand dollars worth to report to the insurance company.

The police questioned us about those who might have had access to our gated community; and we thought of the two landscaping boys.

Time passed and one afternoon, a Police Detective arrived and told us the thieves had been caught, but alas, most of our goods had already been sold.  He handed me a photograph and asked if we recognized the young boy.

I took the photo noting a name and address on the back, and exited the room saying, “I will be right back.”

Taking up a pen and paper, I jotted down the boy’s name and address, thinking, “I will send the boy a letter with some Bible verses,” but I changed my mind and decided to allow the police to do their punishment.

Soon after that robbery we installed a security system !!

In life it pays to keep a mental and spiritual security system that alerts you when the burglar of all thieves is trying to steal from you.  Keep in tune with the Holy Spirit's voice.

There are many things that try to steal our joy, our patience and our peace of mind - - if we permit them to do so.  Don’t allow negative thoughts to torment you about your past or the uncertainty of your future.

Old Satan is known as the thief and the father of liars.  He slips around trying to steal our health, our wealth and our Faith by his cunning procedures.  He is like the animal that steals and leaves you with a gift.

Satan robs your tranquility and leaves behind, fear, pain, depression and even guilt that it was your fault.  Don’t let the devil rob you in 2016.

Keep your mind stayed on Jesus.

The following is a true story of My Salvation Experience!

Time to Come Home !

I had a Plan to Sneak In to Heaven!

Before I gave my heart to Jesus, I had heard much preaching at church about being ready for the return of the Lord Jesus.

The preacher would say, “We do not know the day or the hour when Jesus will come for the saints, so it pays to always be ready.”

The thought of Jesus coming in the clouds scared me just a bit, because at that time I knew I wasn’t ready.

However I had a plan even at my young age, I could have a strategy.

My thought was that if I kept close to my mother, I would grab her leg, and when she went up, I also would be caught up in the clouds along with her.

When I shared my good idea with mother, she told me it probably would not work, since there were times when she might not be near me and who knows - - that might be the very time that Jesus comes back.

Thinking that one through left me no choice but to be ready for myself.  I still wasn’t quite sure how to do this.

That night as I lay in my bed, I said aloud, “Jesus, I am not sure that you are in my heart, so would you please come in to stay and I will serve you all the days of my life.”

That did it!  A peace swept over me and I knew there would not be any worry!  The fear was gone, and was replaced with confidence and a sense of security.  I was safe.

At nine years old, I still had a lot to learn about serving Jesus, but at last I was on my way.

Receiving Jesus was a lot simpler than I had ever imagined.

Santa's Beard

“I’m the oldest, so let me be first,” I said to my younger brother and sister.

It was a few weeks before Christmas, and Mother had agreed to take us downtown to view the Holiday window displays with all the animated figures at the major stores.

Inside the Largest store was a Santa Clause sitting on a large throne waiting for the children with their lists of wishes.

Now I must let you know that my mother had already told us kids that there was NO Santa Clause.

She explained that it is a story about a good man who is no longer alive, but the story lives.  Each year, men dress up like Santa and it is sort of a game.  We know the truth, but it would be fun for you children to visit Santa and get a free candy cane.

So here we were in line waiting for our turn to tell Santa what we wanted for Christmas and receive the free candy.

I told Santa I wanted a doll with eyes that opened and closed and she must say Mama.  Since I am the investigating type, I looked very carefully at his disguise, and said “Thank you,” as I took my candy.

I spoke to my brother, “Allen, it is your turn next, but look closely at his beard and you will see a red string just under his chin.”

Perhaps Allen was not quite as observant as I was, because at first glance, he could not see the red ribbon.  He tilted his head and tried to look under Santa’s beard causing some embarrassment to Santa.

When Allen was satisfied the beard was fake, he told Santa he wanted an electric train and left with his free candy.

In life, all is not always as it seems.  We listen to the promises of the politicians and are confused when we discover their many lies.

We pay good money so our children can attend college to discover many professors are teaching them to hate America and Israel, and cast away all morals learned at their mothers knee.  Some middle school teachers are requiring students to learn about the Muslim faith, and say a prayer to Allah.

Anymore we wonder what is fake and what is real.

I am reminded of the old hymn, “Standing on the Promises of God.”  It is in God’s Word that we will find the answer to REAL Eternal Life, by following the REAL Jesus.  He is the Way the Truth and the Life.

May we take a good look at the manger, the walk of Jesus, the cross and the empty tomb, and His promise to return.

You will find that there is a red line running all through the Bible and it is the blood of Jesus to wash away all our iniquity.

P.S. At the time I wrote this, I shared this story at the Traditional church I then attended, and when I sat down, the Pastor said, "We don't always agree with people's opinions about politics and I doubt very much if our schools are teaching our children to hate America and to embrace the Islam way of life."
~ ~ ~

(Me again) The sad thing is that our schools began to fail many years ago when the Bible and prayer was removed from our schools.  Muslims admit they are using a system called the "Trojan Horse."  It is to slowly slip in a bit here and there until they finally take over.  Many college students are refusing to say the pledge of Allegiance to our flag, and history books are being rewritten.  It pays to do a Google search with the questions, "Are our children being taught to hate America and a second question, Are our children being taught to embrace Islam."  It might surprise you what comes up when you do some research.

By the way - - Soon after this, I left the Traditional church and now attend a church that believes in truth.

The Virgin Birth and Why it was Necessary!!

As we consider this Christmas Season and celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ, let us rejoice and be thankful for the Virgin Birth.

It is extremely important that we understand why the Virgin Birth was so necessary.  The Bible tells us that the Life is in the Blood.  Jesus said he was the Life and the light of Life.

When the first Adam sinned and ate of the fruit in the garden something terrible happened to his body, his soul, and his spirit.  He became sort of REVERSE born again or changed into a different person.  His blood now had the sin nature which all mankind has inherited; passed on to each child from their father.

1 Corinthians 15:45 tells us that the Last Adam was Jesus.  Jesus was not born with Adam’s sin nature because his Father was God.

Dr. M.R. De Haan explains in his book, “The Chemistry of the Blood” that Physiologists have proven beyond question that the MOTHER does NOT impart HER BLOOD to the babe that is being formed.  It has been proven that the blood that flows in the arteries and veins of the babe is from the FATHER of the child.   Jesus’ father is God which makes his blood holy.

Mary herself wondered and told the Angel, “How can this be since I have never known a man?”

The Angel told Mary that this Holy Child that will be formed in you will be conceived by the Holy Ghost, and the life in him will be from his Father God.  Mary said to the Angel, “Let it be so unto me even as you have said.”

God needed a blood sacrifice to atone for Adam’s sin.  All the good righteous people on earth had Adams blood and none qualified to be the Sacrifice.  Jesus was the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.  His blood was Holy because his blood was from his Holy Father God.  That is why it is so very important to be thankful for the Virgin Birth, so that the Holy Jesus could shed his Holy Blood so that we could be saved and changed into another person.

So my joy today is that I am thankful for the Virgin Birth and all it means to purchase for you and for me -- the gift of salvation.

1 Corinthians 15:45  And so it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul," the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit.
Questions:
1. Where does the baby get his blood?
2. Why could the blood of Jesus wash away our sins?
3. Why was the Virgin Birth Necessary?

4. If you have not already done so - -Will you take advantage of the Shed blood of Jesus and ask Him to wash away your sin?
